40lb milestone

Well, I've hit my 40lb weight loss mark! The thing that sucks lately is that we have been so sick here at our house for the last 2 months, that it seems like I can never exercise anymore, because I feel like crap all the time! I get sick with a bad cold, finally get over it, am able to exercise for 2-3 days, then come down with another one! Oh well! Such is life with 2 kids in nursery and one in 1st grade! For those that have asked, I haven't been "dieting" or anything. I have just been more aware of what I am eating, trying to eat better, and just focusing more on portion control. I love sweets and have a huge sweet tooth, so I wanted to figure out some way that I could still eat my sweets (within reason), but try to eat better, and smaller portions. I have increased my exercise as well (obviously). I have been running/walking on my treadmill, doing 10min trainer/Turbo Jam videos, playing volleyball and just whatever else I can do to get my rear end moving! It has been a long process, but I am trying to do it in a way that it will fit my lifestyle and so I won't gain it all back as soon as I go off of the "diets" or whatever. The bad thing about it now is that NOTHING fits! Everything is too big, but I'm not quite sure I'm ready to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe until I know I am going to kind of "plateau" with the weight loss. I am excited though, I only have about 15 more pounds to go til I'm at the weight I was when we got married!! Here's to that last 15lbs!

Way to go!!! I am ashamed to say I ate half a bag of Hershey Hugs and half of bag of Cadbury mini eggs while finishing two twin quilts tonight. *sigh* My 40 lb weight loss is far from view right now. :( But I'm proud of you!!!
