New Year's Celebrations.....

Our New Year's Eve was spent with Scott's family. McKenzie went out on Tuesday afternoon for a sleep over at Grandma Cathy's house, and the rest of us went out on Wednesday afternoon. We went to dinner at the Mayan...or the "Diver Restaurant" as our kids call it...went back to Scott's parents house, let the kids play for a while, got them ready for bed, put them down...then the real party started! We broke out the Wii and Scott and his dad played some driving game for awhile while Cathy, Christy and I played a mean game of Hearts. After the game of Hearts, we all played Wii Sports until almost 2 am. It was a blast and we were laughing our heads off! I only got about 2.5 hours of sleep that night due to Brayden waking up at 4:30 for some reason....then that woke Lexie up a little bit....she relaxed and went back to sleep...but it took me a while to go back to sleep, I just start dozing off and Lexie woke up at 6:00 to eat....I fed her and put her back down, layed back down and Kenzie and Brayden came in at 6:45! So, yeah...we were all pretty beat on Thursday...but it was fun! We had been thinking of getting a Wii, but we wanted to play it first, so after playing it on Wed night, we decided to get one...so then we came home from Scott's parents on Thursday afternoon and had to set ours up and spent all afternoon and evening playing it! The kids just LOVE it and it is amazing how well they do at all the games! We also got a new camera on Wednesday....so we have been trying to figure that out too! Anyway...here are a couple of pictures we took.....

Papa Wayne and Lexie after dinner

Brayden enjoying the 4-Wheeler

Scott and Wayne playing tennis

Christy, McKenzie and Brayden playing...(Brayden felt left out because he didn't have a controller...so Papa Wayne gave him a remote)

Brayden and McKenzie playing on Friday....Notice Brayden has a pretend controller that Kenzie got in some kids meal on Wednesday....He wasn't buying it and wanted a REAL controller!

Heck yeah! Boys want a REAL remote! He's getting too smart! So glad you didn't post the picture of me and my rear! We did have fun! Thanks for coming and making our New Year full of fun!

It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun for New Years. Good for you!! We love the Wii :) Hours and hours of entertainment. You'll have to ask Nate how he almost put a whole in my parents wall (and there big tv) and almost had to replace one of their controllers while playing the Wii. Very intense :)

We have the same issue with controllers at our house...Ryan actually found a 'Tanner Sized' controller that dispenses smartee's...it's a hit...with Taylor...the buttons don't really work, and Tanner wants the 'real thing' too!! LOL!

Grandma Cathy told me all about the Wii. It's way too fun isn't it? And really can keep everyone occupied when it's too cold and snowy to go outside. Love the pics!! Happy New Year! XOXOXO Auntie Carolyn
