Sometimes having responsibilities really suck

Well....we were supposed to be leaving for Disneyland on Saturday, but plans have changed, and I am still really sad about it. To be honest, I am really the only one in the whole family that is sad over it! We've had to replace our refrigerator (go figure, it was the ONLY appliance NOT covered in our home warranty), and had some other expenses, and so that used up some of our "vacation money", and Scott just didn't feel good/comfortable about going and spending another $2,000+ on a 5 day vacation right now. We've built up a nice "cushion" in the bank, and we don't want to have to take any more out of it. I agree in that aspect, we've got a young family, a mortgage, a car payment, and 5 mouths to feed, but it still doesn't make it any easier for me. I thought the kids were going to be heartbroken because they've been looking forward to it for a couple of months now, but once Scott told them we'd get Lagoon season passes instead, they are just as happy with that! So I guess we'll be spending A LOT of time at Lagoon this summer instead of a week at Disneyland! Not quite the same, but for now, I guess it will have to do! Oh the joys of being a grown up and having responsibilities! Here's hoping for next year...and hoping we don't have to replace anything else!!!! Next week's going to suck knowing I could have been at Disneyland all week....oh well, I'll live I guess!
