Wyoming

We just got home from a wonderful week in Wyoming! We are exhausted, but the kids had SO much fun! They didn't want to come home and kept asking if we could stay there longer! They LOVED being up there, and let's be honest, what's not to love! Scott's grandpa (his mom's father) was a cattle rancher and had a large ranch up in Wyoming that he would take his cattle to in the summer months. All growing up, Scott would spend a good portion of his summers at the ranch with his grandparents and so it has a lot of special memories for him. The property is now Scott's uncles (since his grandpa passed away last year) and they were kind enough to let us (Scott's parents, sister, and our family) go up for a week and do their work for them! The scenery is breathtaking, the temperatures are perfect and it was very relaxing! We spent TONS of time riding the 4-wheelers, whether it was heading out to change the water, or just going on rides! The kids even mastered Scott's parents little 4-wheeler and by the week's end were even driving our big 4-wheelers when we went out to change the water (we were sitting there with them, but they were controlling the throttle and most of the steering....even through all the mud, ditches, over rocks, you name it! They were awesome!) We ate our little hearts out, had a Hearts (the card game) tourney going on at night...which I won by the way, and just enjoyed being together! You could not keep the kids indoors! They loved being outside, whether it was swinging, playing with the dogs, riding grandma & grandpa's little 4-wheeler, or just exploring! Here are some of our pictures, but they don't even begin to do it justice!

It looks like you had so much fun! 4-wheelers are the best! What a great way for the kids to learn responsibility and hard work. I always love your posts Kim!
